Attempting to ripoff Brandon

Recently I received a letter from asset acceptance llc about a past due debt from over 8 years ago on their letter they only put the account number and amount and name of the company I owe, but they did not put the date of the debt. They say I owe more then 1500.00 usd to this company, but then funny thing was this credit card only had a 600.00 usd limit on it? Furthermore this was more than 8 years ago well past the statute of limitations.

This letter states that if I do not contact them that they will " proceed against me within state and federal regulations" I do not wish to contact them because this really is not a valid debt but once I do so they will have my phone number and begin harassing me more. I also have no idea how I can stop the letters and I have no idea what they are capable of and they will not talk to me unless I give them too much personal information which i am not willing to give.

Beware of giving too much information because it only fuels the fire!

If anyone knows what I can do or how I can stop them please let me know
