Wal-Mart / Safety 1st
Wal-Marts "Killer" Deals?

A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a fold up space saver tub made by maufacturer Safety 1st at my local Wal-Mart store in Honesdale, P.A. I am pregnant with my first chid and due in about three weeks. When I got the bathtub home, I opened the box up, and much to my surprise, I found a steak knife inside of the box. I immediatley alerted Safety 1st to this and it took them about three weeks to send me a new tub and abot 15 dollars in free merchandise. (One would of thought such a big company would send much better gifts considering the circumstances!) Well, then I called Wal-Mart to alert them to what had happened and to ask them if they sold the brand of knife in their store thinking that maybe a customer would do something like this or maybe a disgruntled employee. The manager, Cecil or Cecilia I believe her name was, told me there was nothing she could do about it!!! I asked her is she could check her inventory an see if the knife was carried in her store and she said she would get back to me. Needless to say, this has yet to happen a month later. I have worked ata Wal-Mart before this incident and definetly was not taught to handle situations in customer realtions like this. I am not satisfied in the way this was handled at all! Safety 1st could of done much better considering the circumstances and Wal-Mart should of been worrying about losing a devoted customer of 6 years!!!
