LivingSocial Wants Us to Pay Them!

Shops, Products, Services

We ran a few deals through Living Social from 2011 until now and recieved maybe a max of 60 repeat clients. No complaint there as we were offering half off of a $250 package. We even honored expired vouchers.

In April we recieved a call from Living Social trying to find out if we wanted to run another campaign through their site. We said sure and then did not hear anything back from them for a month. I sent an email to my account manager at Living Social on May 6th and recieved this response ten days later:

"You spoke with Allie Murphy previously I believe. She is no longer with Living Social, but I have been asked to cover and reviewed what she had submitted previously as well as your previous promotion. It appears the revenue generated was too low to meet our market threshold. The last run yielded us $670 and the minimum to get in again as is is $3,000, so the gap is just too large to get back into the schedule.
The only way I see getting consideration is by 100% of the revenue for the next run to be in our favor. I'm still unsure if that alone would do it, but if that is something you would consider I can look into for us. Please let me know how you'd like to proceed. Thank you!"

How rediculous! We get cut off for their creative not working? Absurd!
