I tried to activate my SBC service in the beginning of August. The customer service rep. Told me in order to get service they would need me to send a copy of my driver's license and a lease for the property.
A second rep. Then told me I wouldn't need that and took all my info and gave me a number, the price of my package and how to access my voicemail. Before I got an activation date we were disconnected. When I called back needless to say I was told I need a copy of my I.D. Plus a deposit. I gave up.
Two weeks later I recieved a letter in the mail welcoming me as a new customer. I plugged up my phone and there was a dialtone. Then the real trouble started.
I signed up for an economy pack plus nationwide long distance. This was supposed to cost me about $45 a month. The long distance was all I could talk for $20. After 2 months my bill totaled $272 and no one could explain to me why.
As of yet I am still bickering with them over hidden charges and was forced to change companies.
