Mercantil Zoostores - Powell Contemporary Dark Espresso Jewelry Armoire

This nightmare started December 4 when I placed an order for a jewelry Armoire. I thought 20 days before Christmas would be enough time to get it shipped in. 14 days later I received a message that it was on back order and it would be March before I would see it. That same day I reordered one for more money and was promised I would see it before Christmas. Well Christmas comes and goes and just before the New Year called again. They escalated the ticket for lack of response and still%u2026%u2026nothing. Finally on Jan 11 I got a email from John stating the order was %u201Cregistered by Home Direct%u201D and they were going to %u201Creach out to them to update the tracking%u201D. Note that that was the first contact Mercantila/Zoostores made since December 14th. All other contact was initiated by me calling or emailing. It finally ended with me putting a hold on the payment though my credit card and Zoostores just canceled the order. No call, no sorry, nothing. I had to call and see what was going to happen next.

Mercantils/Zoostores uses email to contact the vender they use. So you will never get to talk to the people who send the orders. If you call Zoostores they simply type in what you say into a email and send it off and hope for a answer. If they don%u2019t get an answer no one does anything or cares. The staff are polite and pleasant to talk to the problem is they have absolutely no control of their vendors. I would think that after a month of being on order someone would start to wonder what is going on.
Bottom line is if you value any customer service stay away from Mercantila/Zoostore
