Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn refuses a cash refund for their mistake

Shops, Products, Services

I purchased an item from Pottery Barn online and had it monogrammed. No problems on the time it took to receive but when I got it the monogram was a joke. I am really surprised it ever left the company looking the way it did. I wish I took a picture of it. The last initial was barely readable and the placement of the monogram didn't make sense. I thought maybe a 5 year did the monogramming. I'm annoyed at this point but think, Okay, they probably hire a lot of untrained Holiday help. I take the purchase to a store. The person at the store was very apologetic and agrees wholeheartedly with me about the placement and all. She puts a credit into the computer and says I will receive a credit back to my debit card for the full amount. I then purchase the same item at the store with no monogram. Two weeks later I have not been credited so I go back to the same store and they call the processing department and they say because it was a monogrammed item I could only get back a store credit (in about a month from the time I was told I would get my money back). At this point I don't want to do business with Pottery Barn so why would I want a store credit.
