Paid $62.50-$85 for Inaugural Bus Trip promising food, t-shirt, entertainment yet received a $1.00 Calenda

I've never filed a report, however BLACK SINGLES MAGAZINE INC. Needs to be reported & as a FAIR WARNING to all — DON'T purchase tickets for this organizer's functions.

This organization advertised 1/20 Bus Ride for Inauguration trip the following in return for a Pre-sale price of $62.50, and other late ticket purchase price of $80-$85 w / 2-3 pay pal surcharge (depending which websites tickets are purchased under).

The trip advertised RIGHT ON THEIR meetup page, company website, craiglist & even OBAMA events section website (no affiliation to Obama Administration) as follows:

Round trip transportation from new york to washington

Snacks, food and refreshments served on the bus

Free obama tee shirt

Movies viewed on all buses

All tickets $85.00 per person - $2.00 to $3.00 fees will be added to cover paypal fees.

This disorganized event had attendees waiting from as early as 6-10 pm at Port Authority & rather leaving as advertised at 1 am, we were standing in the COLD waiting & finally depart at 1:45 am.

We were promised FREE FOOD, REFRESHMENTS, MOVIES & OBAMA T-SHIRT. We received NONE of that. We were TOLD numerous times there would be food & refreshments. We were given water and heap load of excuses from the ORGANIZER MARK ANTHONY JENKINS as to why it wasn't present. Many passengers were cold & hungry as a result. OBAMA T-shirts were replaced w / a 1 sheet, 1 dollar calendar.

Further, we were told we could purchase SMART cards through him at a premium—charging us $20 for a $10 filled card (which none existed). When asked about it-the reply was, he was overcharged $5000 for the BUSES to park "close walk" to the National Mall. Parked at RFK Stadium—that "close walk" equated to 2 hrs of walking.

By our humble calculations, if an estimate 500 people attended & were charged the minimum of $62.50 (most paid $85)—MARK ANTHONY JENKINS of BLACK SINGLES magazine profitted $31,250 minus the bus charter fee.

WE COLLECTIVELY REQUEST FOR A MINIMUM REIMBURSEMENT OF $20 for the food, refreshments, OBAMA t-shirts & movies as promised. People travelled as far as England & California to make this occasion. How disappointing for them to undergo a bait & switch scenario.

For those of you that were on the trip—what a memorable event at the INAUGURAL, but what a disappointing BUS RIDE outcome.

FOR ALL OTHERS participating in PAID EVENTS by this organizer—this is a classic case of BAIT & SWITCH. PROCEED w / FAIR WARNING! This has been posted so that NO ONE is RIPPED OFF AGAIN through this company.

If the organizer is professional enough to reimburse us the $20, a follow-up posting will be made.
