I went on line at expedia.com in July to purchase airline tickets. The trip was in November and advertised as "no fees" and the ticket was $ 199.00 for a ROUND trip ticket. This month when I received my credit card statement I was charged $ 317.00. When I contacted expedia they claimed I had purchased the ticket for $ 317. I referred them to the filght and date of purchase and they still insisted I had purchased the ticket for $ 317.00. As of last week the ticket sold for $ 207.00. I asked expedia to explain why I would pay over a hundred dollars more for an identical ticket. They said they were not going to change there position. I contacted American Airlines and they said since I had purchased thru expedia they could do nothing for me; they did acknowledge the purchase price of the ticket was $ 199 at the time I purchased the ticket. I am writing this to warn others that expedia may have internal problems or policies which will inflate your purchase. Buyer Beware!!
