Empire Today Flooring - Nightmare! - wood flooring

The Empire Flooring Saleman Rick, came to my home and provided a quote to install 2000 sq feet of hardwood flooring. I currently have hardwood on my entrance staircase and had to make sure that the new floors would be as close a color match as possible. I selected a color but Rick said that he didnt think the color that I selected would be the correct match - he recommended a color - so I agreed figuring that he is the professional. A few days later the installers arrived (very nice people) and showed me the wood - It definately was not a match - not even close. I tried calling Rick, several times. Finally he called me back and said that he couldnt help me because I agreed to the color and that now it was out of his hands. The installers were nice enough to call the warehouse manager and he said that he would order the correct wood (we sent him a picture and a sample of what I have on the stairs). The next day the installers came back with a wood that was even more off than that the pervious day. It was actually brown, as opposed to the honey color I currently have. I called Rick again and again and he would not return my calls. The installers called the warehouse manager and told himm that this color was even more off and that I would accept delivery. The warehouse manager told them to tell me to cancel and that he wasn t willing to help me with other color options. I called empire customer service, they told me that they couldnt help me either but they would allow me to cancel. So now I have 2000 sq ft of furniture all over my home, nobody to help move it back, and no wood floors. Ive taken two days off work (which I dont get paid for) and just feel violated. Oh, and the best, customer service hung up on me when I tried to tell them that Rick wouldnt call me back. Now I know your probably thinking that I was rude which is what prompted the indifference and bad behavior by empire. I assure I was not even agitated when I spoke to them I was calm and inquisitive. Dont use Empire!!! They are competitively priced but not as huge a discount as you might be led to believe. Now that Ive shopped around some more, the quote from Empire was not better or worse than from any of their competitors.
