Deepwell pumps

I purchased a 1hp convertable jet pump (item # 78551) to replace my existing pump which burned up. Could not get the new pump to build more then 25 psi. I replaced everything going into the well thinking it might be the problem to no avail. I took the pump back to the store, exchanged it and the exchange was no better then the original one purchased. At this point I purchased a 1 hp submirsable pump and installed it and I now have water after wasting close to $300.00 on parts and pieces I could not return. Lowes used to sell GOOD deep well pumps that I used for years but they have switched suppliers and the pumps they sell as deep well pumps now are a waste of time and money.
