House Arrest

My name is Sandra Harrison. My son, granddaughter and I moved into Spencer Arms, a three story apartment that is not a handicap building, but has a handicap entrance and an elevator, on May 1st 2009. On and off we have had a problem with the elevator. This time it has been out of order since the last week of August. I contacted the office on how can I get back to and from my apartment. I have a power chair and can barely walk; they told me that they would have the maintenance men take my power chair down and call to let them know when I would return. Well they did this on two different occasions.

On November 1st I had a third appointment to go to, I called and was told to wait that the owner would call me back, well the owner ended up coming to see me, to see how much my power chair weighs because the maintenance me was complaining that it was heavy, we talk about holding off any future appointments until the elevator can be repaired which would be in a couple of months, so I agreed because the chair is heavy and it was so hard to crawling up and down those stairs. January came and went. I stayed in contact with Mr. Dweck via E-Mail, and was told February 11th, then the end of that month. Well here it is, almost March. The last E-Mail I sent him was February 18; I told him that have a doctor’s appointment on March 2nd and that my furniture will be delivered that month. His responds was “We’ll do our best.” Does that sound promising? I’ve sent E-Mails to everyone my family and I can think of. So I’m turning to the media. I not the only person in this building, I’m sure others are doing something; I don’t have any contact with them. If you cannot help us, please send this letter to anyone who you think can help.
