ACCOUNTCARE is a SCAM and makes excuses not to pay claims

Ohg... DON'T ever get the insurace coverage thru Sears and AccountCare. I've been unemployed since Jan 08. I notified the company and they supplied me with bebefit claim form, I called AccountCare to see what letter (s) they will need to start my claim. BOY that was a can of worms.

I was told to supply them with a letter from unemployment on my last day worked reason of job loss, etc. I mailed the letter with the required letter. All I ever got thru ACCOUNTCARE was the run around, we need this letter we need that letter, which they already had 3 times. I faxed their office 5 times, sent certified letters with signature confirmation, and still got the run around. They kept on insiting on a specific title letter " Letter of Determination". I contacted my states unemployment office and they have no such letter and I kept insiting to AccountCare that the letter they are requestion doesn't exist, how can I supply AccoutCare with a letter that is not offered. Every person that i spoke with at AccoutCare kept refering to the Determination letter.

Now it the middle of May and still no payments. I had my last straw. I told AccoutCare that I was going to turn them into the BBB and I wan't payment now or I was going to contact a attorney. I asked for proof that I was receiving unemployment and they asked me if I had copies of the check that I had been receiving (like anyone keeps copies of those checks), but for some reason I was making copies. I told them that I had copies and from the sound in their voice they were surprised they asked me to fax them and I informed them that was the last item I was going to send them, and I wanted payments now. WOW in 20 minutes they approved my claim. After contacting BBB and informing them that I was going to get a Attorney.

I must have mailed over 40 pages of paper work, faxed over 40 pages. Not counting the money I spent on the phone calls, postage, and MY TIME - over 50 hours on the phone. They replied to my complaint to the BBB, but the info they offer the BBB is different then what they sent me. Go figure... Their status with the BBB is Unsatif. I can see why.

DON'T GET ACCOUNTCARE - unless you are willing to fight to the end, and that can take several months, I'm going on 4 months and counting.
