Spam - list of houses forclosure

I've heard commercial on the radio about forclosure. Decided to call them in order to get list of houses. They charged me $1.99 and signed for membership, what I needed to cancel before 02/02/10. Otherwise they will charge me for $ 39.99.. So, I was calling them several times, nobody inswered. I left several messeges about membership cancelation. I contact my credit card about this issue. I am sure they will charge me anyway. How stop them I don't know..
