Buyer Beware - this is not plug and play!

I decided to purchase a home security system from GE Protect America based upon the ads I'd read. I called and they convinced me that the installation was simple and they would walk me through it. Being reasonably adept at home repairs I decided to have at it. They couldn't get the initial package out to me fast enough because that set the clock ticking for the contract of 3 years! When I called to start the installation we found out there was a vital component, an internet router missing, so I had to go and buy a specific type which didn't work so they decided the best thing to do was supply one at a $50 fee. That came a weel later and we got into the installation which is an exercise. Despite having a new house the door sensors didn't fit regrdless of the ways they tried to get me to do it. So they said they would send another type and announced that my trial period was ending and my 3 year commitment would commence. Here I am, writing to the CEO, who claims he wants to know, without a response or the parts needed for the system to work. They shoud be ashamed of themselves and other buyers considering making the purchase should be made aware of this shoddy service.
