As a former employee and current (occasional) customer Lowe's is the LAST place I go for ANYTHING. Customers often comment on the sparse staff and difficulty of finding adequate service. Associates often comment on the lack of staff and training, which prevents them for providing the level of service that Lowe's claims as their hallmark. It's "Catch-22"... Staff can't be increased until sales improve, and sales can't improve until there is more trained staff. When staffing cuts are made, it's from the sales and service force; managers remain in place.in pursuit of that mythical bonus, managers often drive their staff to their limits, often using threats and bullying. If you're a regular Lowe's shopper, and are unsatisfied by the service you receive, remember this: flogging an exhausted horse doesn't help anything, and certainly won't encourage the horse to pull harder. Some businesses are their own worst enemy through their application of bizarre management practices and lack of recognition of the needs of those who actually bring the money through the door.
