Mortgage Statement Shows No 2012 Payments, $18,653.60 Owed

I just received my monthly mortgage statement, which included principal and interest paid in 2012. While the statement shows the correct amount of interest paid, it did not show the correct amount paid on the principal. In essence, they say that I made no payments in 2012 on my mortgage and now owe $18,653.60 in payments. I have retrieved my bank statements showing the payments made in 2012 to counter their statement, but I am concerned that I may never get to the bottom of what is truly going on with Green Tree. What should be my next course of action?
