Total waste of time. - Refinancing

Freedom Mortgage is a total waste of time. If I had the money, I would sue them. I contacted FM June 6. I gave the loan officer (Allan) all info, and permissions. We (so he said) locked in a rate of 3.5%. Two weeks later another rep from FM contacts me needing my homeowners insurance information. No problem. After another week or so, I am contacted to get payoff information. Done. Next, they needed me on the phone with the credit agencies. No problem. We are now in July and they are telling me they need ME to pay $401.00 to keep my rate locked. I say, okay, let's get this done because rates are going up. I don't hear from FM for a couple more weeks. So I call, and they say they need $801.00 for closing. I say okay, let's get this done. Then another rep (Jane) contacted me. They needed all of my info again for the underwriters. I gave it to them, again. It's now September. I just received a letter by mail (dated 8/13) saying I have been denied.
Freedom Mortgage is a total waste of time. 3 MONTHS%u2026 I could have gone somewhere else. Now I have no chance to refi at a lower rate because rates have gone back up. This company totally wasted my time. I warn you, don't do business with these people. You will regret it!
