A young black female came to my door on a very cold night. I felt sorry for her and gave her check $46.00

A young black girl came to my door on a very cold night. She gave me the story about trying to make herself a productive citizen, blah, blah... Even though I was somewhat suspious, I felt so sorry for her so I gave her a check.
I had not thought about it again until today, while doing my bank statement I came across the check. I looked on the back here it should have been endorsed - it had only tiny numbers on it... No signature of any kind.
So, I checked the name of the company on-line and here I am!
