I am a single dad I have of 6 daughters 3 still at home, I pay to live in a gated community. Im just moving in. Its a week ago today and a Sunday I have a friend stop over and when I go outside to see my friend off there is a boot on her car. The car is in front of my home and blocking my car in the garage. At that moment a young man pulls up in an unmarked car he is wearing a new shoes, new clothes, and tells me he is the one who takes the boots off and his company called him out. He said that there is no on street parking on the street and I need to pay him $200.00 to get the boot off CASH ONLY. I told him he has both cars jailed and if I wanted to Go to the bank and if they were opened. I told him that I was just moving in and that I have no HMO rules and that its not possible He told me the fine will go up $50.00 a day and after 10 days it will be towed. I said man you can take the boot off and then I can move the other car. He said he cant cause the person who put it on called it in.
I said give me the HMO's number. He gave me an out of service number. I said if you didnt put them on then you dont care if I cut it off. He said I wish you didnt tell me that now I have to call a tow truck. I said ok give me 15 min. To see what I can come up with. I called the cops. The cops told me it was a civil matter and they cant tell me to cut it or not but did say if the tow truck driver or the Boot It guy toucked me or pushed me from in front of my car it would be assult. So I went out side and the guy was on his phone already I told him I talked to the police and it was a civil matter and if he didnt remove the two boots I was going to cut them off. The cops were on the way. He said to whom was on the phone "ok I need a tow truck " as I walked away. I took my angle grinder and started to cut the boot he was yelling "Hey asshole that just cost you $750" then said to whom was on the phone "he is cutting it off" then said "ok" then hung up. He ran to his truck then he put a thrid boot on as I was cutting the one off. I was still on my property and he put it on on the street side. I told him put as many as you want Im gonna cut them off.
He pulled his gun and said "come on the street and you wont feel to good I have to protect my stuff". The police turned the corner and he quickly holstered his taser. The police said there has to be warnings, rules on the warnings and exact rulered out where the parking is or is not permitted BY LAW he removed removed the boots. Since then I see someone has put a knife scratch on the car and he was spotted out of his car in front of my home by my friend who owned the car booted and when asked if there was a problem he just drove away then we discovered the scratch a couple of days later. So we cant say who did it But today is Easter and my car is on my property and not on the street and that same jerk put a final warning sticker on my truck with no other warnings and mind you its on my property. The sticker has no names or numbers on it. I called the cops to file a harrassment report and tommorrow I am filing a restraining order against this company.
