Lazy, Unethical, Cruel ripoff

July 28th my mother allegedly committed suicide by means of a house fire, in which she poured gasoline all over and proceeded to fall asleep.

So this is my story. From about 2002 to 2004 my mother dated a complete jerk; he was extremely abusive, manipulative, and down right cruel. July 28th (his name Thomas Shea). He was the last seen at my house around 11 pm by neighbors. I was at my father's for the weekend. I get a call around 12 am and hear my house is on fire. I get to the scene, fighting off police officers left and right, and finally see my father and my neighbor at the end of the street, and i ask where my mother is, and my father says: "she died"...

I am then immediately dragged into a police car (separate from my father) taken to the police station, interrigated for 6 hours straight. I'm told how I killed my mother.

I proceeded to tell the police that her boyfriend was abusive and had been there (by witness of neighbors). But no, they wouldn't listen at all. So 6 am I go to my dad's still in shock from the events of the horrible night.

I come to find out the police did a horrible job in their investigation (after their horrible treatment towards me). Mind you, they NEVER brought her boyfriend in for questioning. They questioned him for ten minutes total a few days later. The police overlooked so many things in the house. My mother had her masters in nursing. They said she poured gasoline all over the house, lit the fire, then proceeded to fall asleep down the hall in her bedroom; and therefore ruled it out as suicide.

They found NO gasoline residue on her hands, yet still ruled it out as suicide. Thomas Shea was the only one with the key to the shed where the gas can was kept, and he was the last one there that night. The police department failed to listen to me or anyone. Not only that! But thomas shea had been under investigation for similar circumstances in previous years! But no, they would not hear it. The police department ruled it out as suicide, and the middlesex county prosecutor's office would NOT hear me out!

I have seen NO justice in this situation and cannot move on. Because of the lazy, unethical maneuvers by the Piscataway Police Department, my mother's murderer STILL walks free, to murder again!
