Blackberry Internet charges

A few weeks I was switching one of my 5 family share phones out. The old phone was a Blackberry Curve. The new phone was a Samsung Galaxy. Both being smartphones, I thought this would be an easy swap. Only to discover that I was being charged some mysterious extra internet fee for the Blackberry - a fee that I was unable to remove on line. This fee supposedly made the Blackberry a tethering modem.
So after calling customer service and getting them to remove it, I asked for a credit for this unnecessary charge. I was told that I had been paying for it since Feb.
Yet I don't recall ever initiating this "extra"service. Never used this extra service. After a bit of negotiating, they offered me a six month credit - $180.00. I feel taken advantage of.
Yes, I woulda/coulda/shoulda questioned this long before it popped up. But it was never used. Isn't there someone at Verizon that "gets it?" I am not the complainer, but I feel very taken right now. Taken to the point that I am strongly going to make an emotional based decision to move my $250 a month for life Verizon Wireless account into the hands of another company - purely from principles. These guys won't even meet me in the middle and I can't seem to get to talk to any supervisor that can look at this account and objectively determine that there was simply something wrong here.
