Purchased a saddle and paid for it on July 30 from an online horse classifieds site, total price $600 plus postage of $50. I asked for registered post and tracking number. Tracking number was sent 3 weeks later and did not register on the Australia Post site. After a lot of e-mails back and forth 'Amy' allegedly deposited a refund to my bank (Sep 3). The money never showed up in my bank and when questioned Amy produced a 'receipt' of deposit. Apparently her bank lost the funds with a glitch in the system and she would be refunding me when the funds arrived. After much badgering and threatening to call police, payment installments were offered (Sep 18). $100 was refunded on Oct 2, location of deposit was Success, WA, which is nowhere near Mt Barker. On Oct 8, I requested the full amount to be paid by 26th October or I would be taking to police. No more funds have been received.'Amy' generally responds to e-mails promptly and texts sometimes but rarely answers her phone. On occasion she has returned my phone calls, she has always sounded upbeat and full of answers. I have heard every excuse, I am having a baby, my dad just got cancer, she gets paid Thursdays, a tree fell on my shed, my boss left the office and I could not get to the bank, I get paid Fridays (hang on, wasn't it Thursdays?). I am still waiting on my $550 and still in e-mail contact with her.
