Credit account fraud, computer and laser ink shipped elsewhere

I am a frequent online shopper, so I set up a PayPal credit account. I had no problem for years. Then I suddenly received a charge balance owed of $14xx.xx for charges I did not make. I did not purchase a thing.

I received a letter from G.E. Capital Bank, the servicer of the PayPal account, stating that my address had been changed to another city and state. When I called GE and PayPal, that is how I found out my account had been compromised. My account was charged for a computer and a load of laser ink jets. These were sent to another city and state.

I googled the address where the merchandise was sent, then the name of the resident and a phone number. It all seemed legitimate. After reading the scam report on Mailhouse LLC, I now know exactly what happened. PayPal has held me responsible for the fraud on my account after a meager 8-day investigation. I was told there is no merit to my claim of fraud.

I was able to glean info from Google. Googling the name of the resident where the merchandise was sent, I found this person all over Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, etc., with all personal info. There was also a small one-liner stating they had been employed by Mail House LLC. Bingo. I found this out just an hour before submitting this consumer addition to a very serious complaint.

Now I will notify GE and PayPal, not that this will matter to PayPal, as most of their support is outsourced to the Philippine Islands. Thank goodness it has not been outsourced to Russia. At this point, I do not know what will happen, as I am unable to pay. PayPal now also wants a bank account to fund my purchases, not in this lifetime. What is wrong with this picture?
