Home Depot, paint - Paint

This is regarding HD in Auburn, CA, mgr Jeff Roberts. We went to HD to purchase paint, chose a color according to their color cards. We purchased 1 gal to see if we liked it, we did went back, (50 mi RT) took the lid with their info on it and the sample card. We purchased 2 more gal. Came home took off the lid and the paint was the color of a Christmas tree, not what I have in mind for my kitchen and living room! Took the paint back, got the correct color, came home and started painting. We painted several walls, used 1 gal then noticed it was high gloss not egg shell! Called the store talked to Jeff Roberts, he apologized and said if we didn't mind making another trip to the store (50 mi), he would not only refund our money but give us the correct paint. He said just to ask for him. We left 5 min after the phone call, when we got there they said he was at lunch! Bought 2 more gal of paint, (made sure it was right), called Jeff when we got back home. He answered the phone right away and said he never said he would refund the money, then said, "hang on a sec, I need to talk to the paint people", I hung on the phone for 1 hour and 5 min before I hung up. He has not called back. We are seniors and don't have the money to run back and forth for an error they made, but from now on we'll drive the extra 20 miles and go to Lowes!
