Superstar Sales, Inc
Magazine Subscription Rip-off

Miscellaneous

On January 28 I purchased a subscription for Metropolitan
Home (12 issues). A young man trying to win a trip to Europe, and
trying to further his education was working as a sales representative
for Superstars Sales, Inc. He claimed that if he sold a certain
amount he would not only win a trip to Europe, but also win a
scholarship for college. D. Dake Hannkey, sales rep No. 85, sold
me on the educational part of the sales pitch. Like many other
Americans, I believe that our youth deserves a good education, if
helping this young man represented spending $50.00 I really didn't mind.
But, after reviewing the information with my husband, I felt that in reality
we weren't actually helping this young man, but the company who is exploiting
him. So, on January 30 I submitted a request via electronic mail to cancel the order. (sales@pcconline.com)
According to the terms and conditions if the order was canceled within 3
days of the time of purchase, no charge should have taken effect.
However, on February 7 my check was cashed.
The receipt of this order No. 5481682 indicated to contact the comapny
through this e-mail address or call an out of state number. I opted
to contact them via electronic mail since it was cheaper.
However, I haven't received any response or information from the company
regarding this matter.
Today, after 3 months of wait I send them another e-mail, kindly requesting
the full refund of this order plus an additional $5.00 processing fee charged
by my banking institution after an advance of my line of credit took place to
cover this check. I also requested a response, otherwise I would take legal
action.

If you have any questions or need further information you can contact me
at the address provided or through electronic mail.
