Atlantis Sales Magazine Scam
Atlantis Door to Door magazine scam

Miscellaneous

August 1 a young guy claiming to be working towards points a trip to europe and a $2000 scholarship towards his college education knocked on my door and asked if I had a few minutes. I did not know he was selling anything as he was wearing street clothes and did not seem to be a sales person. He explained he was working towards points and only needed a few more to reach his goal. His story seemed odd but my mother felt she was helping a "collgeg student" further his education.

She wrote him a check for $48. I went right to my computer and typed in the company's name. Everything came back as a fraud. I went back out to look for the guy and found him down the street talking to a group of kids. I demanded my check back and told him it was a fraud. He tried to tell me the company he works for isnt Atlantis but moments earlier he stated it was Atlantis and he gave me a reciept with the companies name Atlantis Sales. I got my check back but am still angry that this low life tried to pull a fast one on me and my family.
