Miscellaneous

I was contacted by a Daniel Nason saying he found my resume on some Google site. I am unemployed so even though I thought it strange I dismissed it. He wanted all my information... Ie, Name, address, email, home phone, cell phone, etc. I barely communicated with him but he sent me an email saying "POSITION SECURED" and said I had the job. It was for a personal assistant. I found it so strange the next day when the mailman came to my door with a flat rate envelope that I was to sign for.inside was a letter typed out to no one in particular telling me to take the enclosed cashiers check made out for $4750, deposit it, take $600 for myself and to contact Daniel Nason for my instructions. The letter was signed Sarah E. Hamilton, Bookeeper. The cashiers check was so obviously fake. From Navy Federal Credit Union, which obviously is a real place of business however this check had no watermark or seal. It looked like a play check I could make on my own computer and print out myself. Regardless, I knew all along this whole thing had to be fake. Of course no sane person is going to send me a cashiers check for almost $5K when they don't know me whatsoever! I looked his name up ASAP and found this site. PEOPLE - stay away, this is a scam!
