I was looking to lease at apartment with a move in special of $199 for $50 application fee and remainder for first month's rent. This was June 25th and the apt. Would not be available until mid September. I told the leasing agent upon arrival that I hadn't decided for sure until I knew if my apt. Was raising my rent or not. A week later, I called to say that I was not moving there until I received info from my complex. At this time also I had encouraged my son to move to Foundations and he was set to move in the first part of July. The leasing agent told me my refund would be mailed to me and someone was going to lease the apt that I was looking at. A few weeks later I called to check on it and she now says they are taking $50 for the application fee. My son goes in to check on it too. She denied to me on the phone that she discussed it with him and that she didn't. She left the room and asked the manager and she said yes I would get the $149 in a month. NOW, when I called again, I am getting nothing back. The manager said it was my fault that I didn't read the application fee and no one ever told me that I would get a refund. Please do not fill out an application at Foundations at Woodland in Conroe unless you know for sure you are moving there or you have money to throw away.
