Do not let anyone access your computer from Vacouver, with tech support in India.in two hours they can download your entire hardrive.

A family member purchased this for their computer from an unsolicited message. The timing was right as this family member was frustrated with the speed of their computer.

They got the whole spiel about $39.95 for the basic package, you have a great computer (it is 5 years old, PROBABLY WORTH $150!), and for $280 total we can fix it, the software is good forever, no upgrades to pay for, lifetime. They added that the computer really needs help and will run great once they tune it up.

Well, they checked 280,000 files and came up with about 130 issues. That's. 00046% of the files has an issue. I think that's one half of a ten thousanth of a percent. I debate that this miniscule number had anything to do with the performance of the computer. The issue is that it is 5 year old computer and the technology has been leapfrogged 5 times over. For the vast number of computers 3 years old or more, Norton, a monthly disc defrag, and purging unused programs and files is about the best you can do for performance.

After the software did its thing for over two hours we got a call from tech support. We lost Internet access and the tech could not connect to our computer. 24 hours later, still cannot connect to the Internet.

When the tech in India told me to turn off my computer for an hour and try it again, I knew we were being smoked.

We have called the salesperson, tech support, with no return call. We wrote to tech support and they said they would be back to us in 24 hours. At my hourly rate this has cost us $2,000 in 24 hours, plus the $280 for the software which did nothing to improve the performance of the computer.

We will ask for a full refund.
