I booked an airline ticket through a friend who is a pilot on United Airlines buddy pass.
My friend paid the $180.00 with his credit card and I reimbursed him the money. When he emailed me the boarding pass, he had booked it under my maiden name. Not my legal married name.
This was all done very last minute.
My son tried to get the information changed over the phone and they asked him for MY credit card information. Still don't know why they asked for that.
Believe that All was well I left for airport to find Name change had not been done. Fortunately I still had my Social security card in my maiden name, so they let me on the plane.
When I arrived in Houston for connecting flight to Austin, I asked a United Airline counter person to see if they could check on the name change problem. They issued me a boarding pass with the correct information.
It was not until a few days into my visit that I realized they charged MY credit card for another $180.00 ticket.
Many attempt to resolve this and I am still out the money.
I even received an email from them that the money was being reimbursed in 10 days... That was in June and I am still waiting.
