On August 7, I attempted to schedule a service call on on one of our appliances. I was advised that my contract had expired on July 19 because of non-payment of my July service invoice. Attempts on my part to get any assistance from the Customer Service Dept. Were very rudely denied by Marcia and Precious. I was advised that since my contract had expired, it was MY responsilbilty to clear up the situation myself. After repeated attempts to to reach someone in the Billing Dept., and at least 45 minutes spent on hold, I finally reached a man named Vince, who arranged to get it resolved. We furnished a copy of our cncelled check #5055, dated July 1st, which cleared our bank on July 9th, 10 DAYS BEFORE THE DUE DATE of July 19th. Until I reached Vince, I was treated with TOTAL INDIFFERENCE by the C.S. People. I can't remember a worse experience with a customer service organization as far back as I can remember. It was not our fault that our contract was cancelled, and the treatment given me was very humiliating and unprofessional. I would suggest a thorough review of this issue.
