DirecPath
Nightmare Experience

Miscellaneous

I recently moved into an apartment complex that uses this company. It was a nightmare of an ordeal. First, it seems highly likely that they outsource the call center to a India. The representatives were robotic and wouldn't listen. They use the same scripted answer for any issue. Because I was once a Directv subscriber within the year I was not considered a new customer. Even though I had to go through Direcpath they used Directv. I am stuck in limbo between Direcpath and Directv. Direcpath can't give me any programming costs yet I have to go through them to get my service. Basically, to make a long, frustrating story short. The tech has come out 2 inconvenient times because they only work 8-5, M-F unlike Directv that will come after 5 and on weekends. I have had to take off work twice and still no cable tv. The csr had down that I had 2 receivers when I did not. So, that was a wasted day off. I had to wait a week later for them to come back out. The tech said he was on his way. Fifteen minutes later another tech called to say that the ticket was categorized wrong and they would not be able to install. After a gentle rebuke the tech arrived and hooked up the receiver. I was almost there when trouble started again... Then I was told I had no programming and that I would have to go back to Directv to order the same programming that Direcpath told me to cancel in the first place. The tech wouldn't leave the receiver so another wasted day off of work. Here I am tonight with no tv. If you are looking for an apt - ask if they use Direcpath.
