I have generally had good experiences with travelocity, especially compared to booking directly through airlines. However, i have experienced the major fees associated with changing a ticket, although these are from the airline, not travelocity, and somewhere in all the fine print it really does warn about this.

Today i had to call travelocity customer service to change the order of last names on a ticket i booked for my uncle (cultural misunderstanding). The menu was prompt and took me to an actual human very quickly, the agent was VERY helpful, called the airline for me, checked to make sure I was sure of the change by prompting me to check the passport, and coordinated all the changes for me. The confirmation of the change was sent before I was even off the phone, and the agent re-booked the seats for me too.

In the past, travelocity has taken the initiative to contact me about flight delays, whereas at the airport passengers who booked directly through the airlines said they weren't warned.

I usually use travelocity for domestic travel but have had good experience with last minute foreign travel deals too. Based on these experiences, and as a middleman agency, I think travelocity does a good job and I would recommend them, certainly for domestic travel.
