Kohl's hassle making payment

Wanted to make payment over phone cause I thought it would be easy and quick... When I FINALLY got someone on the phone I was immediately asked to pay my balance which is what I was planning to do anyway. But, thought you were allowed to make payments on a credit card. Was advised I'd be charged extra to use debit card, and extra to process for same day (it was before 12pm). I was so mad I said I'll just make pmt online. 30 minutes later after tired of the hassle, I just paid thru bill pay at bank. Very dissappointed in customer service at Kohl's. Don't plan to shop there anymore.
