Storm door does not live up to expectations - Customer Service

I purchased a retractable screen door from the Home Depot store and had Home Depot install it. Very satisfied until I used screen. After pulling down screen to provide cross ventillation, it was not long before breezes popped the screen out. Then I realized that this door (the 2000) had nothing on the vertical screen edges to hold it in place. The bottom used a simple spline to hold the screen taut.
Screens are used either to keep bugs out or to provide cross venting. I spoke with Anderson at length, explaining that this was an inherent design defect. After a LONG conversation, the supervisor would not concede that this could be considered a manufacturing defect. After all, the manufacturers hire engineers to design their product to perform in a certain way. If it does not perform adequately, is that not a defect? There is nothing written anywhere to say that this item should not be used where it is a breezy environment. Anderson blames Home Depot for not telling me this, despite the fact that the manager admitted that the door is the wrong one to be exposed to breezes off the inland waterway.
As it was installed by Home Depot, they are willing to have the screen remounted for no cost. That was kind of them; however, I do fear that next breezy day, the same thing will reoccur.
I am willing to pay more for a better, stronger door that will withstand breezes. I should thing that at least some sort of partial credit is due in order to change out and upgrade.
Both entities appear reluctant to do so, though the people at Home Depot were very nice. I really think that the two entities need to figure out how to resolve this problem. Is there not some responsibilty on each party's part? Or is this simply a "caveat emptor" disappointment? But the way, another person in the same building purchased the same door. Guess what? Same problem.
Your attention is appreciated.
