CALPERS Did not make my direct deposit which cost me over $400.00 in overdraft fees

I changed back accounts. Calpers made a direct deposit the first month but did not make it the second month and did not notify me that they were not going to. I kept contacting my bank and Calpers to find out where my check was but Calpers never answered my calls or emails. After over 2 weeks Calpers said they they needed 2-3 months to make a new direct deposit which was not true as they had direct deposited into the same bank account the previous month.

This blunder of their which they will not accept responsibility for cost me over $400.00 in overdraft fees, credit card automatic payments being returned and ruined my credit with paypal and ebay. They refuse to even help me with one dime of all my costs.

Even when I finally got ahold of them they said they would mail me my check but they coudn't do that until the 21st of the month. It didn't reach me until the 27th of the month.

Now it is the first of June and I do not have this months check either. So I called them today. Their message said wait time was 15 minutes and 39 seconds. I was on hold for over 40 minutes and they still did not answer but it rang and I was given the first message I had heard when I first called saying that it would take 15 minutes and 40 seconds now. I just hung up and emailed them like their message also suggested. They emailed me back saying that because of high amount of calls it might be over 10 days before they got back to me. So I cannot call them and I cannot email them.

So I have to sit here with no money for food or gas. This is so irresponsible and unprofessional that it is amazing. How do they get by with this. What can I do?
