False advisement

Everytime the advise an electronic item in their Sunday magazine they never know anything about it when I go to the store to purchase the item. The sales clerk always tells the same story she knows nothing about the items in question. I get the same answer from the manager. How can a company advertise an item and the ten minutes after the store opens they know nothing about the items in question. This is the second time that this has happened to me. When I ask about a rain check, I'm told it's no promise that they will get the item in.
