Beware

After purchasing a new Dell Desktop, it all worked fine except for the speakers. I briefly tried myself to reconfigure and figured I may as well call Dell support. Using a search for Dell support, and thinking it was a "Dell" site, I called an 800 number. After letting them access my computer, which I regret and am fearful now, they said my sound files were corrupt and wanted to charge me for a fix. Again, thinking it was a Dell site, and questioning corrupt files on a new system, I stated that the computer was only 1 day old and I shouldn't pay for a fix. Now the light bulb goes off and I tell them to forget it. A little more playing with the settings myself and it now works. So much for corrupt files. Totally trying to rip me off so beware when you search for Dell support, make sure it is Dell and not some scamming tech support site.
