Warranty not honored

I purchased approx $1200.00 worth of trees from this company, that they guaranteed for a year. That was July of last year. I had a year contract with them for mowing and upkeep of flower beds, that I had no intentions of renewing because of the shotty work. The company did not stake down the biggest tree so when a wind came along a couple of days later, the tree fell. I called them and they came out and properly staked it down. The tree did not survive, and when I called them to honor the guarantee they told me that since I did not renew my contract for the yard, it nulled and voided my warranty of the tree. You may share this with anyone because this is not right.
