Miscellaneous

I have a sailor wanting to buy my Austin Healy Bugeye Sprite. She says she's out at sea and is using PayPal. She needed me to send $950.00 to her shipper for the car via Western Union before I could get my money from PayPal. Which PayPal also stated on their email. I sent the cash and notified PayPal. They said the money would be transferred. Then I get an email from her and PayPal stating that they needed another $1850.00 for insurance for the shipping. And that she had put this extra amount in PayPal account that I would get as soon as PayPal verified I had sent the money via Western Union.

This is in fact a scam

That has just recently come to light and is now being publicized to
different ships' crews to avoid. There is no one onboard this ship by
that name. The scam involves a Pay Pal account asking service members
or their families to forward money for such payments.

I would ask that you forward this message to other deployed service
members and their units to avoid falling prey to this scam.
