Silver State Apparent practices that are MISLEADING to employees

I was lured into employment by Citywide Security (Silver State Security, Greg Manukian,?) several months ago. I am writing this complaint as it has become clear to me that the practices of the firm are NOT employee friendly and should be made public.in addition, I read a previous criticism of the firm on this site and I have experienced some unfortunate similarities.

First, the pitch to potential employees seems to be one that offers steady advancement toward supervisory positions. This is not completely false but one that does apparently have "several strings" attached. I did take the required steps but quickly realized the mistake in my decision and stepped back down to regular "armed" status. I am at that position at the time of this writing.

The bait in my situation is very similar to the information provided by the previous poster that provided details in 2008. I was not offered a residence but the up-front financing on a required firearm. I chose to accept this assistance at the time as I was on a steady course, or so I thought, up the company ladder. I was not completely comfortable with this decision but regular payroll deductions were used to pay back the sum in full. I did feel some sense of added pressure on my employment during this time as I hate owing a debt to anyone. Previous medical issues that I had survived had shown me the dangers of owing anything to anyone but I allowed myself to fall into this trap nonetheless.

Next, the issue emerged that the small size of the company required added dedication by employees. This is of course understandable, but at what cost? The field supervisor for the company, an apparent personal friend of the Operations Officer Greg Manukian, could in no way find the ability to be consistent. Yes or no questions that are presented to the individual are answered as both yes and no by the supervisor depending upon when they are asked. This is at first somewhat amusing but soon becomes quite problematic for officers in the field who are depending upon firm answers. Changes to schedules are not rare but far too frequent with officers receiving changes mere minutes prior to to the start of shifts. This is taking place on a REGULAR basis and shows an apparent lack of management skill. Again, this is the norm and NOT an unusual situation. I have the emails and phone texts to prove this point. Is Greg Manukian aware of this reality? I do not have a way to know.

Pay scale will also be briefly noted. I do not know what the other officers make hourly and it is not my business. Yes, as reported by the previous poster, officers use their own vehicles for patrol and they are "reimbursed" travel costs. Of course, the patrol officer must have the up-front cash to pay for the ever rising price of gasoline.in addition, patrol schedules have an added 30 minute period that is not paid. This is listed as "lunch-time". It is very rare if at all possible to actually have the time to take a lunch break. But, the lack of pay does still result for that 30 minute period.

As I noted earlier, I am at the time of this writing still employed by Citywide Security under Greg Manukian. I do not know why Silver State Security is no longer operating but I am starting the investigation on that matter at this time. What will the response of Greg Manukian and Citywide Security be in response to this concern? I am sure that it will trigger some form of negative response perhaps leading even to termination. I hope not but that is their call and they do seem to act based upon personal whim more than firm practices. It is often very clear to determine how a management team, and ownership, acts based upon past performance.
