Jim sold a car to me and misrepresented its condition. Scammer don't trust him!

Jim McMahon was selling a car on Craigs List stating that the vehicle was in great shape. He also stated the tires, brakes and transmission had been replaced. He stated that the transmission was still under warranty and has the receipt.

When I took it for a test drive, he said that his wife's father passed away recently and that she wanted to upgrade so that's why he was selling it. He said he forgot the receipt for the transmission at home but would mail it. He also stated that I should keep an eye on the oil level because it needs a little oil once in a while.

I took his word for what he was telling me, so I purchased the vehicle with cash, as is. Although the car was sold as is, I believed what he told me was the truth.

Unfortunately for me, he never sent the receipt for the trans.in addition, the engine burns through oil to the tune of 2 and 1/2 quarts for every tank of gas, when I go to visit my parents in Michigan, 200 miles away, I fill the oil and by the time I get there I have to add 2 and 1/2 quarts.

I called him multiple times and always got his voicemail, I left messages to call me but has has not returned my call.

Jim knew that the car was to be used by a young woman working at Chicago public schools in the inner city and he said it was a reliable car. He also knew that he was just dumping this car. He knew that the engine had major issues. A little oil!!! Where's the trans receipt? Bull! That's why he won't call back.

I wouldn't trust this guy, especially with something like real estate.
