Advance Fees Paid for 5000 Pound Loan That Proved Fake

I had a call before, on 14th Feb, from a person named Sam Parker, who told me he was calling from Citi Financial. My loan was for 5000 pounds, and he asked me to pay 172 as a security deposit initially and then to transfer the amount. He told me he needed permission from the British Council and that I had to pay tax to the council of 200.

After that, a lady called Kelly spoke to me and said she was the accounts manager and that my application would now be looked after by her. She asked for 250 pounds as PPI and late payment fees, and I paid that. Then she said I had to pay 150 pounds for the software used to transfer money, as she was using electronic transfer since credit history was low and she could not use online banking, and I paid. But still she was not satisfied. She asked me for 150 pounds by U cash voucher. I said I don't have the money.

The good thing I did was transfer everything by bank transfer. This company is a fake company using the name of Citi Financial. The number the calls came from was an unknown number, but their contact number is 02032865345.
