Miscellaneous

I was on my Hotmail account when a pop up of RevitaDerm appeared stating "As seen on Today Tonight". Claiming better than Botox! Advertising for $2.95 for RevitaDerm and $2.95 for PerfectRadiance, meant to be paying for shipping cost only from the UK and that I would then receive a sample of both products. There was NO Terms & Conditions and nothing stating any further on going payments. My bank rang me that afternoon to confirm the 2x$2.95 which I confirmed and which stated on my bank statement as "RevitaDerm and PerfectRadiance. Within 2 weeks I received both products, not sample size though, was the larger amount of the product. I thought it was generous for a "sample"... Also there was no invoice which was raising alarm bells. Within a 4 week period I received a letter from my bank stating that I had over withdrawn about $176 dollars. No further detail. I was very confused so I looked at my online bank statement which stated 4 LOTS of inconsistent amount of moneys had been taken out of my account, ranging from $71.31 to $76.80 for each item, equaling $303.58 and un-authorised!!! The bank statement stated it was taken from "creamcareskin.com skincareperfr" I looked up that site and it was a fake, non existent! I found an email address on the RevitaDerm website and made a complaint to cancel but Its almost been a week and I havn't heard back, It's probably non existent too! I then saw all these complaints of the product and how similar they were to mine. I immediately called my bank and cancelled my card, I was shocked I had been scammed. My bank stated they are sending me out a Stat Declaration Form so I can hopefully get my money back, apparently the bank only reimburses the client on an individual basis, cross fingers. I have made a scam report through Australian Competition & Consumer Commission where it is investigated, but unlikely to take legal action as these idiots are out of Australia and their contact details are fake. RevitaDerm is unlawful with their misleading & deceptive conduct with their price. They are an unlawful Trader who make false and misleading representation about the goods they are promoting and are in Breach of Australian Consumer Law. They offered cut price goods that they had no intention to supply, they have false billed me and it is unlawful for them to take money for goods that I have NOT authorised. This whole incident was extremely overwhelming as I had been working a lot of over time and all those hard earned dollars had been taken by them. I work in Law Enforcement and it has been very frustrating that I can't do something about this due to the surrounding circumstances and lack of detail of the traders, other than to report it. The more victims report these Scams the better people are aware and don't fall victims themselves. Advice, the more you report your Scam and take action, the better your chances are of getting a refund from your financial institution. Record everything. Good Luck
