Rip Off

I am cancelling my NSTAR green service because of consumer fraud. The amount paid by NSTAR to long term contracts for wind power has not changed at all; yet they are increasing my rate $8 per month because the price they pay for oil has gone up.in my mind this is outright fraud.

The reason I signed up for NSTAR green was precisely to support long term contracts for wind farm power — which are in fact cheaper over the life of the contract than oil if the utility sticks to the contract. But no, NSTAR says their ability to profit and mark to the current oil price allows them to increase costs for green customers. I am canceling this rip off and hope regulators will punish the company for not passing along savings from Green Energy.
