Natrelle, Natrelle Saline Breast Implant Only Lasted 4 years!

I had breast enhancement surgery in May. I have no complaints with the Dr. Who performed the surgery. The cost of the surgery was $5000. My implants were made by the company Allergan under the brand name of Natrelle Teardrop Saline implants. I was told that the life expectancy was 10 years.in January my right implant leaked and my breast went down to it's before surgery size.

I went back to my Dr. And was told that Allergan would only cover $1200 and that the surgery to replace the implant was going to be $4000. He recomended that both implants be replaced as the other one might also leak. The surgery to replace both was $5200 and this included the $1200 that was covered. When I went for my pre-surgery visit I was told by a nurse that they were having alot of problems with the Natrelle Saline implants failing. I had to take out a loan to pay for the new implants as I could not go around with one breast!

I think Allergan should be responsible for paying for the surgery and the my time lost from work. I lost over a week from work and I do not get paid unless I work. This has been an awful experience and I would not recommend anyone getting the Natrelle Saline implants made by Allergan. They should have lasted a minimum of 10 years and did not even last 5 years! Paying over $10,000 in less than 5 years in unacceptable.
