Revoked membership for one complaint

I am a single woman in the foundation business in se texas. My membership with the BBB was revoked due to one complaint. According to the BBB i did not answer this one complaint i have had filed against me.

First let me say that before the complaint i had been in business for 3 years without a single complaint (unheard of in my line of business)

Normally i would not have a problem with the BBB's decision to revoke however there are several companies (same owner) who have had numerous complaints with the BBB that are still in good standing.

Now it just so happens that this person is "friends" with the person in charge of memberships with the BBB. I have worked hard to keep a good name for my company and to be revoked and basically black balled by the BBB is just plain devious.

The BBB's unwillingness to give me the benefit of the doubt has tols me there is nothing i can do about it. After reading the satifactory report given to the scam artists that i know of in my community it makes me wonder if the old saying is true "its not what you know but who you know that counts"

I am not willing to play the games of the BBB. I have decided to tell my customers up front that i am being blackballed for being a woman in a mans game. I can't be "friends" with the lady in charge. I can however point out that in a reliability report on a competitor reads that all complaints (notice the plural) have been resolved and they are satifactory while mine reads REVOKED due to an (as in one) unanswered complaint. How is that fair?
