We received a phone call which we would normally have ignored. For some reason, my husband engaged in a conversation with a very savvy salesman.By the end of it, we had purchased 33 nights accommodation across the continent. We were led to believe these accommodations were similiar to the condos purchased by timeshare owners. The first time we booked 3 nights (Orlando), we were booked into a Holiday Inn, a "preferred" hotel. When I asked what a "preferred" hotel was, I was told the entrance to the room was interior rather than exterior! The dictionary doesn't mention entrances when you look up "preferred"! Terrible. A sucker is born every minute and I'm afraid we have joined the group. When I inquired about cancelling the whole thing, I was told it was too late. Imagine! In future, we will be hanging up on telemarketers as we have normally done in the past. Don't think we will attempt to use the additional nights as there are additional charges that we were not aware of - taxes, etc. Horrible experience which has left us feeling like fools.
