I called Taxmaster to resolve a tax debt with the IRS and state of WV in 2008. I was told that they could reduce it to. 25 on the dollar for sure. As my power of attorney they submitted three offers in compromise which all were rejected by the IRS and when I asked about the state of WV they said that would be additional $1800 dollars which was not told to me at the initial sales call. I have had no resolve and finally revoked their POA and setup payments directly with the IRS and WV. Now I am about to be laid off again and just had to tell both IRS and WV that I cannot pay the debt. I spent $5000 for absolutely nothing and wrote to them about such and never received a response. I am not alone I read when it comes to this ripoff company.
