They sent me a letter with a $2200 check and directions for secret shopping 3 local businesses

Miscellaneous

Today I received a letter with instructions to Secret Shop 3 local businesses.inside the letter along with the instructions, was a check for $2200. The instructions were to call the phone number listed on the letter to "activate" the check and to deposit it into my personal checking account and that the check would be available in "24" hours at which time I could secret shop the first business that Mark (phone contact) informed me to do. I was then to call him as soon as that shop was done for further instructions on the other two. What prompted me to research this company was when he "insisted" that I deposit the check into my account even though the letter says "Deposit and or Cash your check at your bank.

I am became curious that a mystery shopping company would pay a very nice shopper fee, plus allow you to keep the items you purchased from two of the retail shops. All you had to do was to fax the receipts along with the paperwork.

The third shop was to send a certain amount of the money using Western Union.

I am definitely relieved that I did some research before entering into this scam.
